3_5_1_legal-advice Part of the services offered by TTO is the legal assistance with respect to the drafting and negotiating of contracts that are related to research, as well as the protection and exploitation of know-how and intellectual property rights (“IPR”) which are frequently the result of research performed by VU and VUmc. Through cooperation with the technology transfer managers and business developers of TTO, the legal counsels of TTO provide their advice on the following areas:

Research contracts
Contracts on the protection and exploitation of knowledge
Contracts related to spin-off companies

If specialized expertise is required, for example assistance from a notary or tax advisor, TTO has an extensive network available where such knowledge and assistance can be obtained.
