Problem in the market
Members of the general public are confronted with increasingly complex choices. It is not always clear to them which choice fits best with their own preferences.

3_7_11_KieskompasHow does Kieskompas BV address the problem?
Kieskompas BV helps people make more responsible choices. Based on scientifically approved methods, Kieskompas develops web applications in order to make choices simpler and transparent, both to voters and consumers. For the 2006 parliamentary elections in the Netherlands, Kieskompas developed an application to help voters discover which party manifesto fitted best with their own political preferences. This successful start – resulting in over three million unique visitors and a multimedia journalism award – was soon followed up by new projects in several countries and with several customers and media. Apart from the ‘political’ applications, Kieskompas focuses on specific societal themes such as politics, democracy and society; religion and philosophy; work, education and income; and health and lifestyle
Kieskompas applications provide users with clarity in complex decision-making processes, while also allowing them to make thorough analyses of their options. The applications are always fully transparent. It should be totally clear to users what their best choice is and on what this is based. Furthermore, Kieskompas produces analyses of users’ opinions and preferences. These analyses provide valuable information for companies and organizations, which can be used to improve the quality of their products or policy-making. The users’ privacy will never be compromised.
